Facebook Warrior Tagged For Threats

A Manchester facebook warrior, who sent threatening messages on the social network, has been electronially tagged for three months.

Martin Paul, 25, of Burnage Lane, Burnage pleaded guilty at Wimbledon Magistrates Court and received a three-month community order.

He admitted sending a letter, communication or article conveying an threatening electronic communication on November 18, last year, namely a series of messages, which conveyed threats for the purpose of causing distress or anxiety.

Paul will also have to obey a night time curfew between 8pm and 8am, pay £100 compensation to the victim, £85 costs and a £60 victim surcharge.
