A thief who nicked three face masks from a hospital treating multiple Covid-19 patients has been jailed.
Lerun Hussain, 34, of Worsopp Drive, Clapham was caught at King's College Hospital, Denmark Hill.
At Croydon Magistrates Court he was sentenced to twelve weeks imprisonment after pleading guilty to stealing the PPE equipment.
Police were called to the hospital at around 11:20am on Sunday April 5 after Hussain was detained by hospital security staff for stealing the three face masks.
Hussain was arrested on suspicion of theft and also detained for being in breach of a court order.
Later that same day Hussain was charged with theft.
