Race Arrest: Local Man Sentenced

A Sidcup man has been sentenced for racially abusing a woman in his local high street.

Daniel Bygrave, 28, of Palm Avenue appeared at Bromley Magistrates Court yesterday.

He pleaded guilty to the racially-aggravated harassment of Melissa Boute in Sidcup High Street on December 4, last year.

It was his first court appearance on the charge.

Bygrave was sentenced to a Community Order under the auspices of the Probation Service.

He was also ordered to complete one hundred hours unpaid community service work and pay £100 compensation to the victim.

Bygrave must also pay £85 costs and a £90 victim surcharge.
