Hate-Crime Investigation: Do You Know This Suspect?

Police investigating a suspected violent anti-Semitic hate-crime have released this CCTV image of their suspect.

Officers were called to reports of a racially-aggravated assault at approximately 7.35pm on Thursday, December 2 outside West Hampstead Overground station in Heritage Lane.


The victim, a male aged in his twenties, was approached by the suspect who made anti-Semitic comments towards him.


The suspect also damaged a religious display, erected to celebrate the Jewish festival of Chanukah.



The man assaulted the victim while intimating he was armed with a knife.


The victim was not seriously injured.


Anyone who recognises the suspect is asked to call police via 101 or tweet @MetCC quoting reference CAD 6588/02Dec.
