Lone Female Commuter Fights Off Wannabe Robber

A lone female commuter was targeted by a wannabe robber as she walked to her car at Crayford railway station.

British Transport Police (BTP) have released this CCTV image of their hooded suspect and are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying him.

The mystery male struck undercover of darkness at the south-east London station.

BTP are treating the incident as an attempted robbery.

The woman left the station at 7.10pm on Tuesday, January 23 and was making her way to her vehicle in the car park.

She was suddenly approached by an unknown man, who attempted to reach into her jacket.

The woman bravely pushed the would-be robber away and he fled the station car park.

Officers believe the man in the CCTV image may have information that could help with their investigation.

Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016, or by calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 604 of 23 January.
