Suspected Drug Dealer's Secret Magnetic Stash

A suspected drug dealer was arrested after police found a secret magnetic container attached underneath his car stuffed with cannabis and cash.

Police on routine patrol stopped the suspect vehicle in Coombe Lane West, Kingston-upon-Thames at 6.00pm on November 12.

The officers noticed it was being driven erratically in an attempt to avoid being pulled over.

The officers, from the Violence Suppression Unit, spoke to the driver, who was unable to provide a satisfactory account of why he was in the area.

The vehicle was searched under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act and a mobile phone containing drug-related messages was found. 

Underneath the vehicle was a black metal magnetic box attached to the chassis. 

Inside were eleven bags of cannabis and £150 in cash.

The driver, aged 22, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis. 

He was held in custody while the investigation continued.

Detective Inspector Alison Foxwell, from the Violence Suppression Unit said:“This incident shows the value of vehicle stops to disrupt drugs and associated violence. 

“Our officers are working hard to track down and arrest the right people and stopping vehicles enables us to do this.

“This man thought he could evade prosecution by hiding the drugs underneath he car, but the team conducted a thorough search and easily found the magnetic hide.” 

City Insurance Executive Throttled Girlfriend On Doorstep

The “absolutely petrified” partner of a Lloyd’s insurance executive was lifted onto her tiptoes when he grabbed her throat during a violent row in the doorway of his £1.6m apartment, a court heard today.

Head of Marine & Energy Liability Howard James Burnell, 62, inflicted bruising to the throat and thigh of girlfriend Mary Phillips when they rowed after a dinner-date.

Her leg was slammed in the doorway of his flat in Little Green, Richmond on March 14 and pictures of the injuries were shown during the trial at Wimbledon Magistrates Court.

Burnell, a company officer with Bishopsgate-based insurance giants Apollo, was convicted of assaulting Ms Phillips and was bailed until sentencing on January 28, next year.

She told the trial the pair enjoyed a restaurant meal earlier that evening. “We shared one bottle of wine, but Mr. Burnell likes his alcohol so it could have been two.”

While travelling home the couple rowed, with Burnell telling his partner of seven years: “You have crossed the line”.

He stormed off ahead, shutting Ms Phillips out of their shared home, which he owns. “He positioned himself in the doorway,” she told the court from behind a screen.

“He said: ‘You insulted my parents,’ and was very aggressive, more than usual.

“He was red, his eyes were evil-looking. The hatred.

“I tried to push him and thought if I could get in I could defuse the situation, but he was quite adamant that I was not coming in.

“His hand came up and grabbed my throat and I was lifted up on to my tiptoes and was in sheer fear.

“I thought he was going to headbutt me. I was absolutely petrified.

“He also used the door to bar my way and that bruised all of my leg and the bruise was under my jaw for a week and my neck was painful.”

Burnell denied throttling his ex-partner, suggesting she may have sustained injuries as she tried to barge her way into the flat against his wishes.

“I said I did not want her to come in and she tried to force her way in,” he told the court. “She was putting her leg in and trying to push me back, it was a bit off a stand-off.

“I held her back when she was pushing herself in. I assume the bruising to her leg was caused by the door.

“She was trying to knock my arm and as she was pushing she pushed against my hand, which rode up to her jaw, I think.”

Eventually Burnell allowed Mary in on condition she took a cab to her daughter’s home in Elephant and Castle.

District Judge Andrew Sweet announced: “She lived there for six to seven years. It was her home too.

“She said she was lifted up by her throat and her leg was bruised by the door being pushed against it.

“She found herself in a situation where she was being prevented from accessing where she lived and I accept she was assaulted by Mr. Burnell by grabbing her throat and pushing the door.”

Bailing Burnell for an “all options” pre-sentence report the judge added: “To try to exclude her from somewhere she lived for six to seven years is something I am entitled to take into account.

“I need a report so I can decide how to sentence.”

Midnight Stabbing: Do You Know This Suspect?

Police hunting a knifeman, wanted for a “shocking act of violence” outside a south-east London pub, have released this CCTV image of their suspect.

He is being hunted after a 39 year-old man suffered multiple stab wounds just before midnight outside the Brockley Barge, Brockley Road on March 10.

Police and the London Ambulance Service attended and the victim was taken to a south London hospital, where he underwent surgery.

An investigation was immediately launched by the local CID. 

No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.

Detective Constable Natalie Parker, from the South East BCU CID, said: “This was a shocking act of violence that could have cost a man’s life, and we are committed to bringing those responsible to justice.

“We are appealing for witnesses and information to assist our enquiries. 

“If you are unsure as to whether something that you saw might be significant, we urge you to come forward and report it. 

“You could aid our investigation and prevent opportunity for further violence on the streets of London.

“If you recognise the man pictured, please get in touch.

Path Wars: Neighbour Accepts Restraining Order

A warring neighbour received a restraining order today, but continues claiming the next-door couple are trespassing on her land when walking to their own front door.

Ruby Virk, 52, was due to stand trial, charged with harassing her neighbours, but the charge was dropped in return for her agreeing to the three-year order in a bid to keep the peace.

Each household has to use the same pathway to access their homes, resulting in a bitter dispute and the arrest of Virk.

Wimbledon Magistrates Court heard Haygreen Close, Kingston-upon-Thames was the scene of complaints from each household, accusing the other of anti-social behaviour.

Virk was charged with harassing the couple between April 17, last year and January 10, this year.

She was alleged to have stared at them; kicked rubbish near their door; poured liquid near their door; blocked their pathway and posted them a letter complaining about noise when served with a harassment warning.

Virk was also accused of calling the female partner a “bitch” and telling a delivery driver a package was for “the bastards next door.”

However, Virk told the court today: “Police have not acted on my last call for loud music, which they are doing to harass me. Environmental Health have told me it is a police matter and they are harassing me.

“They are not prepared to come and investigate the noise nuisance. I am in a Catch 22 situation and am very frustrated.

“I am very frustrated, angry and upset. My deeds clearly set out my boundary, my pathway, that's my land they are walking over.

“They are not allowed to walk over my land.”

The court heard the neighbours share a party wall. “Unfortunately there has been no peace between the parties,” said prosecutor Colette Hanna.

“Forty-one has a right of access to walk past this defendant's property, they have a legal right.

“Virk also accuses the male neighbour, who is a professional man, of being a drug-dealer to other people.”

There is no truth to this allegation whatsoever.

The court agreed to make the restraining order in the hope it would minimise contact between the neighbours and stop the problems.

Virk was told not to stare at her neighbours when they come and go on the shared pathway or confront them outside and to be careful in what she says about them.

Police hunting a train robber, who threatened a passenger, have released this CCTV image of their suspect.

British Transport Police (BTP) are investigating the robbery, which occurred between Tottenham Hale and Stratford Station, north London.

The victim says they were confronted between 7.10pm and 7.30pm on Friday, October 9.

As a result of threats from the suspect the victim handed over property.

Stubborn Tube Passenger Punched Underground Worker

A violent tube passenger, who punched a London Underground worker when asked to leave an out-of-service train, has been jailed for three years.

Stanley Oragui, 43, of Kentish Town Road, Kentish Town refused to get off the train at Cockfosters station when it reached the end of the line.

He was sentenced at Southwark Crown Court for assault; breaching two suspended prison sentences and a separate shoplifting offence.

On the evening of Sunday, April 26 staff asked stubborn Oragui to leave the depot-bound train, but he refused.

The member of staff then picked up Oragui’s Tesco shopping bag and started to walk off the train in the hope he would follow. 

Oragui then threw two punches at the member of staff, hitting him behind the ear before pulling the staff member’s phone from his top shirt pocket – ripping it – and throwing the phone onto another platform.

Oragui then exited the station and boarded a bus destined for Potters Bar. 

British Transport Police officers stopped the bus on Cockfosters Road, identified Oragui and he was arrested and charged with common assault.

A warrant was issued for his arrest after he failed to attend court, and he was arrested for a second time at the end of August.

TfL Embedded Inspector Mullah Hoque said: “This was an abhorrent andcowardly act of violence against an unsuspecting member of London Underground staff, going about their daily duties.

“There is never an excuse for behaviour of this kind, especially in response to the simple request of disembarking a train – we will not tolerate any form ofviolence on the transport network.”

Guilty: Mobility Scooter Murderer Jailed For Stabbing Pal To Death

An enraged man, who stabbed his “best mate” to death for losing his late mother’s mobility scooter, which they used to collect a pawned television, has been jailed.

Kenneth Pitcher, 51, dragged dying John Kennett, 61, into the street and pretended he was assisting him when emergency services arrived.

At Croydon Crown Court he was sentenced to life imprisonment - with a 14-year minimum - after a jury convicted him of murder.

Pitcher - high on crack cocaine - repeatedly plunged a knife into the victim at the address in Woodcroft Road, Croydon on December 23, last year.

Earlier that day the pair - with Mr. Kennett riding the mobility scooter - had gone to a local Cash Converters to collect Pitcher’s pawned television.

By the time they returned Mr. Kennett had lost the scooter and Pitcher was shouting abuse.

Prosecutor Mr. Hugh Davies QC told the trial Pitcher dragged the wounded Mr. Kennett onto the pavement at 9pm and pretended he did not know him when paramedics arrived.

Drunken Pitcher, who had smoked crack cocaine and taken methadone that night, was seen by emergency services leaning over the dying man, asking: “Mate. What’s your name?”

“He told the paramedics the patient had knocked on his door, asking for help and then had stumbled and fallen to the floor,” explained the prosecutor.

Pitcher told the paramedics the man had been stabbed and was bleeding, despite there being no visual evidence of this and when pressed, replied: “I was just trying to f***ing help. I hope he’s okay.”

Pitcher then returned inside and slammed his front door.

“He gave contradictory and false accounts of events at the scene to distance himself from what he had done,” explained Mr. Davies.

“He knew the man lying on the ground very well, a man who he later told police was his: ‘best mate’.

“Mr. Kennett had not knocked on the defendant’s door. It later became obvious he had bled heavily inside the defendant’s living room.

“He suffered multiple stab wounds, including wounds to his left thigh and chest and bruising to the right side of his face.”

Pitcher’s Polish lodger Seb Wierzchoski had witnessed him dragging Mr. Kennett outside and called 999 on the order of the defendant, the court heard.

Regarding Pitcher’s defence case Mr. Davies told the jurors. “He says it was not him. It must have been the lodger by implication.”

Earlier that day the lodger saw Pitcher and Mr. Kennett together, making plans to collect the defendant’s tv from a local pawnbroker.

“The lodger says Mr. Kennett often rode on Pitcher’s late mother’s mobility scooter, not because he was disabled, but because he was lazy.”

CCTV captured the pair travelling along London Road with the scooter and television.

“When the defendant returned home with the television and no scooter he was furious and was shouting that Mr. Kennett was a w*****,” explained the prosecutor.

“He was angry because Mr. Kennett had left the mobility scooter somewhere between Croydon town centre and the house.”

Mr. Kennett, who was a regular visitor, apologised and the pair settled down to drink and smoke crack cocaine.

Police recovered a washing-up bowl and towel covered in Mr. Kennett’s blood from a neighbour’s garden and a wet wipe inside the address contained both the deceased’s blood and Pitcher’s DNA.

Detective Inspector Garth Hall, of Specialist Crime South said: “John Kennett was killed by someone he considered a friend, someone he trusted.

“John was attacked when he was at his most vulnerable in a place where he felt safe. The attack was unprovoked and brutal.

“Our thoughts are with the family at this time. They have acted with immense decorum in what has been an emotionally charged ordeal.

“I am extremely pleased they have seen justice served.” 

Train Pervert Hunted: Bare-Chested Image Released

British Transport Police continue to hunt an east London railway pervert, who exposed and pleasured himself last summer.

This image of the bare-chested suspect, taken at West Silvertown Docklands Light Railway station, has been released.

On three separate occasions over a six day period in July last year, a man was spotted exposing and pleasuring himself at the station.

The incidents all happened between 7am and 8am, on July 26, 28 and 31.

Officers believe the man in the CCTV image may have information which could help their investigation.

Police Hunt Wannabe Robber In 'Baby Blue Floral Dress'

Police are hunting an unlikely-looking wannabe mobile phone robber, who they describe as wearing a “baby blue floral dress”.

The bespectacled female supermarket suspect allegedly struck while queuing at the till, targeting a woman, aged in her twenties.

The Metropolitan Police have released this CCTV image of the woman they are hunting.

Officers were called at 8.00pm on Tuesday, August 11 to the supermarket in Tottenham Hale Retail Park, following reports of an attempted robbery and racially-aggravated assault.

The victim told police she suffered minor injuries when the woman in the dress tried to snatch her mobile phone.

She said she was queuing when the suspect physically assaulted her and began shouting racial abuse.

When she reached for her phone to call the police the suspect tried to take it, claiming it was her own.

The victim’s phone was returned to her when the supermarket’s security intervened and the suspect escaped on a bike.

Police are appealing for the woman to be identified and have released this description: “The woman is believed to be approximately 5ft 5ins tall with brown hair and was wearing a baby blue floral dress and a blue face mask.”

Detective Constable Natalie Starkey said: “We take all allegations of racism and assault very seriously and my team is keen to speak to anyone who was involved or who witnessed this incident.

“I would also appeal to the woman  in the image or anyone who knows her to contact us.”

Knocked Out Cold: Police Hunt Pub Pair

Police hunting the brutal attackers of two middle-aged men - knocked out cold while leaving a pub – have released these CCTV images of their suspects.

One of the victims, aged 59, suffered a bleed on the brain and was in critical condition and a 53 year-old victim was hospitalised with a serious head injury.

They were attacked after leaving the White Hart pub in Eltham High Street, Eltham, south-east London after 10.00pm on October 24.

Police carried out CCTV enquiries and established the pair were assaulted by three men after leaving the venue.

A 33-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday, October 27 on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. 

He was interviewed and released under investigation pending further enquiries.

Detective Sergeant Ian Barnard, from the Metropolitan Police's South East Basic Command Unit (BCU), said: “We have reviewed CCTV and taken witnesses statements to piece together the events of that evening in an attempt to identify those responsible.

“This was a disgraceful and unprovoked attack, which has left a man fighting for his life in hospital. 

“I would urge anyone who recognises the men in these images to contact police as soon as possible.”

Male Au Pair-From Hell Caged Again For Sexually Abusing Children

A male au pair-from hell – who sexually abused the children he was paid to care for – has admitted sickening crimes against 20 more youngsters.

Aaron McWilliams, 28, is already serving time for sex offences and received a life sentence – with a nine-year minimum – for these latest convictions.

The “predatory paedophile” pleaded guilty to forty new counts when he appeared in custody at Woolwich Crown Court.

He admitted fourteen counts of inciting a boy under 13 to engage in sexual activity, involving penetration.

Eight counts of inciting a boy under 13 to engage in sexual activity, not involving penetration.

Seven counts of sexual assault on a boy by touching.

Three counts of making an indecent photo of a child.

Three counts of sexual assault on a child.

Two counts of rape of a boy under 13.

Attempted rape of a boy under 13.

Sexual assault on a girl by touching.

Engage in sexual activity with a boy under 15.

The offences were committed between 2012 and 2017 in different parts of the UK and Europe.

McWilliams abused children he came into contact with through his work as a live-in au pair.

The court heard McWilliams was first convicted in 2016 for sexually assaulting a four-year-old child. 

After serving part of his sentence, he was released and began working with another family within a matter of weeks, after providing phony references. 

There, he sexually abused another four-year-old child and was jailed for seven years in August, 2017.

A phone was seized as part of the 2017 investigation, and detectives subsequently found 2,472 indecent images of children, graded category A (depicting the most serious child abuse) to C. 

Detectives discovered an extensive collection of videos McWilliams had made of himself sexually abusing his young victims.

McWilliams was interviewed twice in 2018 about the material on his phone, and made admissions about his abuse of children.

A total of 24 victims, aged between four months and 14-years-old were identified during the investigation. 

All but on one of the victims were boys.

Detective Superintendent Adam Ghaboos, of the Central East Safeguarding team, said: “McWilliams is a predatory paedophile who sexually abused a large number of children he was entrusted to care for. 

“It is every family’s worst nightmare.

“He is manipulative, cold, calculating, and highly dangerous to children and young people. 

“This case is amongst the most serious child abuse offending that the team has seen.

“I would like to acknowledge the courage of the young victims and their families who have endured the horrific abuse and the long-term harm these types of crimes cause. 

“Their information has led to this prosecution, and McWilliams will spend a long time in jail where he cannot harm any other children.”

Detective Superintendent Ghaboos added: “Our enquiries have led us to a large number of McWilliams’ victims, but we can’t rule out the possibility that there may be more. 

“I would urge any families who have employed McWilliams or believe that he may have had contact with their children to come forward.”

Pal Beats Friend To Death At Thornton Heath Flat

A brutal thug has been found guilty of murdering his friend in a “brutal and sustained” attack at his Thornton Heath home.

Nikolay Zhivkov, 44, was convicted following a trial at the Old Bailey and will be sentenced at a future date.

Police began an investigation after the body of 60 year-old Krasimir Kartikov was discovered at his home in Whitehorse Road on Monday, January 13.

A post-mortem examination revealed he died from multiple injuries, including several skull fractures and a broken nose.

Neighbours heard loud voices and banging inside Krasimir’s flat in the early hours of Sunday, January 12.

Several witnesses also reported seeing a man regularly visit the property. 

He was identified as Zhivkov.

Officers began an urgent search to locate him, which involved analysing telephone data which linked him to the address at the time of the attack.

CCTV enquiries were carried out, revealing Zhivkov had boarded a bus at West Croydon Bus Station later on Sunday morning.

He was traced to an address in Southall and arrested on the evening of Thursday, January 16.

During interview he refused to give any explanation for the attack and denied any involvement.

In a statement, Krasimir’s family said: “Krasimir was the nicest man you can imagine. 

“He was kind and always eager to help others. He was liked by everyone who knew him.

“I cannot imagine what could possibly have provoked someone to murder him in this way. 

“It breaks our heart to think about it.”

Detective Chief Inspector Helen Rance, of the Specialist Crime Command, said: “This was a brutal and horrific attack on Krasimir by someone he knew and had allowed into his home.

“Throughout this process Zhivkov failed to take any responsibility for his actions. 

“Now he has no choice but to face up to what he did to a man who cared for him and called him his friend.”

Hackney Rape: Do You Know This Man?

Police hunting a Hackney rapist, who attacked a lone female, aged in her twenties, have released this image of their suspect.

The victim told officers she was approached by an unknown man between 11.00pm and 11.30pm near Victoria Park Road on Friday, September 25.

The male suspect engaged her in conversation and walked with her for some distance before raping her near Well Street.

Detective Constable Russell Popplewell, from the Metropolitan Police's Safeguarding Team, said: “I would ask everyone to have a good look at this image and see if they recognise this man. 

“This is of course an incredibly serious incident and we are carrying out an intensive investigation to identify the man responsible.

"I would ask anyone who witnessed anything suspicious on the night of September 25 to get in touch with us. Any detail – no matter how small – could assist with our investigation.”

Teen Jailed For Carrying Fearsome 'Rambo' Knife

A teenager caught by a specialist Metropolitan Police squad with a fearsome 10” Rambo knife has been locked-up.

Jahcub Pierre-Registe, 18, received thirty-three weeks custody, following his arrest in Acton, west London by the Violent Crime Task Force.

Pierre-Registe, of Elsham Road, West Kensington was sentenced at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court.

On Monday, August 28 officers were on patrol in Beech Avenue, Acton Vale at 5.50pm.

They saw a group of five men, who appeared to be carrying out a drug deal.

As officers approached the group dispersed and officers gave chase. 

They caught Pierre-Registe and when officers searched him they found in his waist band a large Rambo-style knife in black sheath. 

The knife blade was 10" long with 3-4" handle.

Pierre-Registe was arrested and taken into custody. 

He was charged with possession of a pointed or bladed article and pleaded guilty the next day.

Pierre-Registe was also ordered to pay the court £400.

PC Chapman, of the Violent Crime Task Force said: “I hope the sentence handed to Jahcub Pierre-Registe will show those who carry knives that they will go to prison if they are caught. 

“It is against the law and incredibly dangerous.

“Our officers are out day and night, working to tackle violence across London and will continue to take knives and weapons off the streets.”

Bus Race Attack: Walking Stick Suspect Wanted

Police hunting an elderly racist of Indian/Pakistani appearance, who spat at and abused a female pensioner on a bus, have released this image of their suspect.

On Saturday, January 25 at 3.00pm a man boarded a Route 114 bus in Kenton Road, Harrow.

While on board the bus he assaulted, spat at and racially abused a 65-year-old female passenger.

Although the victim did not suffer lasting injuries, she has been shocked and distressed by the attack.

The man is described as Asian, aged in his sixties or seventies, approximately 5ft 8inches tall of chubby build. 

He was walking with a stick and pulling a shopping trolley.

Detective Constable Stuart Giddings of the Roads and Transport Policing Command is investigating.

He said: “This was a truly shocking and spontaneous attack on a woman who was sitting on the bus minding her own business. 

“This type of behaviour cannot go unchecked and I would ask people to look at the image and see if they recognise this man then do the right thing and contact police.”

A voyeur, who installed a mobile phone at the Chartered Management Institute to record others for his own sexual kicks, was sentenced yesterday.

Christian Camilo Faggiani, 36, admitted secretly placing the phone at the Central London offices of the organisation in Kingsway, Holborn.

He pleaded guilty at Bromley Magistrates Court to voyeurism at the CMI on April 4, namely installing the mobile phone with camera, with intent to obtain sexual gratification by observing others doing a private act.

Faggiani, of Norwood Road, West Norwood was placed on a twelve-month Community Order, which includes 150 hours unpaid community service work.

He was also ordered to sign the sex offenders register for five years and complete up to thirty-days of a rehabilitation activity requirement.

Faggiani must also pay £85 costs and a £90 victim surcharge.

BA Flight Attendant Caught Filming Man In Heathrow Toilet

A BA cabin crew employee disguised his uniform with a hoodie to use his phone to spy on a Heathrow Airport worker as he used a toilet cubicle, a court heard yesterday.

However, Andrea Cesqui, 37, had his British Airways security lanyard around his neck when he was caught by the male VIP lounge receptionist. 

The Malaga resident pleaded guilty to voyeurism, namely observing another person doing a private act for the purpose of sexual gratification, on October 21, last year.

He was fined £650, with £85 costs and ordered to pay an £85 victim surcharge by magistrate Anthony Dorothy, who said: “We believe there was an element of planning here, the placement of the phone etc.”

Cesqui was also ordered to sign the sex offenders register for five years.

He had been a member of BA cabin crew since 2006 and has lost his £2,800 per month job with the airline.

Cesqui, staying in Priory Grove School, Priory Grove, Lambeth was seen on the airport’s CCTV entering numerous toilets with his phone in his hand, remaining inside for excessive periods of time.

Prosecutor Beata Murphy told Uxbridge Magistrates Court it was 6.45pm when the victim used the land side gents’ toilets to urinate.

“As he began to urinate he noticed somebody had placed a mobile phone over the top of the cubicle and could see the top of the phone and the camera lens.

“The complainant was in the middle of urinating with his genitals exposed.

“He looked directly into the lens and the phone was immediately pulled down by the male using it.

“The complainant left the cubicle and confronted the male, who was extremely nervous and agitated.

“The complainant demanded to see the phone and the phone was pulled out by the male and it was still unlocked with the camera running.

“The complainant demanded to see the photos on it and the defendant did show the photos, but only from the back of the folder and not the most recent.

“These were photos of numerous male genitalia.”

Cesqui, who was wearing a white hooded NASA top over his BA uniform, fled when the victim left to get security.

He has always insisted no actual recording was taken. 

“The suspect had a large suitcase and backpack as if he was a passenger, however the complainant believed he saw a lanyard under the hoodie, similar to those of Heathrow Airport employees,” added Ms Murphy.

“The CCTV was analysed and it showed him wearing a BA uniform and his image was circulated to BA employees to see if they recognised the suspect.”

Cesqui had donned the hoodie during one of his multiple lengthy visits to gents’ toilets - one forty minutes long - before the offence.

He was identified by BA a month later on November 19. “BA recognised the suspect from the still and he was sitting in their staff canteen.”

Cesqui’s mobile phone was examined, but no further voyeuristic images were seized, but there were numerous images of naked male models.

His lawyer James Reilly told the court: “He lives in Malaga and he’s come over here for this. 

“The defendant said he had some digestive problems and that was the reason for visiting the toilets.”

Cesqui started a new €1100 per month job as an account manager at a call centre last May. 

“The defendant has simply, on the spur of the moment, used his phone to point it over the cubicle and look at someone else,” added Mr. Reilly.

“It was a one-off. As a result of this foolish act he has lost his job with British Airways.

Cesqui did not quarantine for two weeks after arrived in the UK recently. “He’s being staying on a friend’s floor the last two days.”

As a result then probation service refused to conduct a face-to-face interview with him and completed it via phone while Cesqui remained outside the court building.

A drug addict jailed for neglect after the drowning death of her 11 month-old son was back in court today after being caught with heroin.

Finola Cash, 37, was sentenced to six years imprisonment in 2015 for manslaughter after son Ricky's bath seat fell into water while she was out looking for crack cocaine.

Today, she appeared at Uxbridge Magistrates' Court, which heard she was not being recalled to prison despite still serving the sentence and being subject to licensing conditions.

Cash, of Featherstone Road, Southall pleaded guilty to possessing heroin in nearby Southall Broadway on October 9.

Prosecutor Siobhan O'Shaughnessy told the court it was 10.25pm when police spotted Cash – who is from the Irish travelling community – walking along the pavement with drug paraphernalia in one hand.

They thought she was rolling drugs and stopped her for a search.

In her right jean pocket they found a small wrap of brown powder, which she admitted was heroin and this was confirmed after a lab test.

Cash told the court: “It was such a small amount because I'm trying to wean myself off heroin. 

“I'm trying to get my life back on track and have my own property.

“I am trying to get on a methadone 'script so I don't get back in trouble.”

The court heard Cash is complying with her licence conditions and is being supported by social services and in receipt of Universal Credit.

Six years ago when Ricky died she was living in an Edgware hotel bedsit and her deceased son had crack cocaine in his blood as a result of either passive smoking or contamination from a surface or finger.

He also had severe nappy rash, caused by Cash's failure to regularly change him.

She was known to social services at the time due to a history of drug abuse and domestic violence and tests revealed she had smoked crack cocaine in the twelve hours before Ricky's death.

Cash was also abusing heroin and methadone for the previous nine months. 

Uxbridge magistrates told her the fact she was near the end of her licence and was not being recalled to prison was in her favour.

She was fined £40, with £85 costs and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge.
