A 999 emergency caller, accused of
using the racist term “black nigger” when talking to the female
handler at the other end of the line, has been fined.Sean Hayes, 23, of Mermaid Tower, Abinger Grove, Deptford pleaded guilty when he appeared at Bromley Magistrates Court.
He was charged with one count of racially or religiously aggravated harassment on February 15 by repeatedly using the term while speaking to the 999 handler.
Hayes was fined £120, with £85 costs and ordered to pay a £30 victim surcharge.
