Dagenham & Redbridge FC footballer Mitch Brundle has been banned from the roads for two years after been caught in charge of his BMW after drinking.
The 25 year-old midfielder has made fourteen appearances for the National League club this season, scoring three goals in all competitions.
Brundle, of Redbud Road,Tonbridge, Kent appeared at Bromley Magistrates Court.
He was convicted of being in charge of the blue two-litre vehicle whilst unfit through alcohol in Sangley Road, Catford on August 17.
Brundle has had a successful career in the lower leagues, representing the likes of Braintree Town FC; Gateshead FC and Dover Athletic FC.
As well as the disqualification Brundle was placed on a two-year Community Order, which includes 250 hours unpaid community service work and was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £95 victim surcharge.
