A psychotherapist, who has worked
with the disabled, appeared in court this week charged with having
thousands of sick internet child porn images on his notebook and
desktop computer.
Martin Hempel, 56, of York Road, Battersea appeared on bail at Wimbledon Magistrates Court on Monday.
He is charged with ten counts of making indecent photographs of a child on or before December 23, 2013.
These include four images on a Samsung Notebook; 139 on a Corsair Tower; 3078 on a Freecomm Drive and 2896 other images.
Hempel has a diploma in Integrative Therapeutic Counselling and has worked with the mental-health charity Merton Mind, running the Disabled People's Counselling Project.
He was bailed to appear at Kingston-upon-Thames Crown Court for a preliminary hearing on August 7.
