Currency Entrepreneur's Driving Arrest A Real Blow

A celebrity finance guru, who claims to have made millions in foreign exchange deals, was caught by police having oral sex while driving his £300,000 Lamborghini, which sports the personalised number plate 'PRO5PER'.

Greg Secker, 39, boss of 'Knowledge to Action' trading and training company still had his trousers undone when officers pulled over his black 6.5 litre Aventador.

The self-styled "master trader, entrepreneur, philanthropist and international speaker", who lives on the private Crown Estate of Furze Field, Oxshott, Leatherhead pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention in West Hill, Wandsworth on March 20, last year.

A charge of drink-driving was dropped after the Crown Prosecution Service failed to submit evidence to support their case Secker's urine alcohol level was 148 milligrammes - the legal limit is 107.  

He claims to have become a multi-millionaire in his mid-twenties and his website includes pictures of him with Prince William and Sir Richard Branson.

Prosecutor Mr. Nicholas Earl-Quarcoo told Wimbledon Magistrates Court it was 7.55pm when police driving along the A3 decided to follow and stop Secker.

"The Lamborghini drifted into their lane, which led the officer to take evasive action to avoid a collision with the car.

"They put on their flashing lights and tried to catch up with the Lamborghini, which turned off the A3 and passed through two no entry signs.

"When officers caught up with the car it was parked in a bay with the engine still running and they could see a female in the passenger seat.

"They spoke to Mr. Secker and he then pulled up his trousers that were loose and undone and the officer asked: 'What happened there?'

"Mr. Secker replied: 'I know, I'm sorry. I was getting a blow job.'"

Keen polo player Secker told the court he draws a £1,600 a week salary from his company, which offers trading courses from £2,500.

His lawyer told the court father-of-three Secker accepts his behaviour was "extremely foolish" 

District Judge James Henderson fined Secker £1,000, with £85 costs, ordered him to pay a £100 victim surcharge and endorsed his driving licence with five penalty points.

Junkie Raised Cash In Wireless Festival Ticket Scam

A drug-addict got involved in a ticketing scam which ripped-off fans expecting to see and hear acts including Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake at the Wireless Festival.

Harriet Cooper, 25, of St. Peter's Church, London Road, Kingston-upon-Thames and her boyfriend orchestrated the scheme from his Bournemouth flat in Argyll Road.

She pleaded guilty at Wimbledon Magistrates Court to four counts of fraud by selling batches of invalid tickets worth £800; £120; £135 and £180 via Gumtree on May 24, 2013 for the event in London's Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

The court heard heroin addict Cooper met her boyfriend while receiving treatment for alcoholism and was under his influence at the time of the event.

She is now four months pregnant, jobless, living in a hostel and on a prescription for her addiction.

Cooper was placed on probation for twelve months, which includes a three-month drug rehabilitation requirement.

She was also ordered to pay each of the four victims £20 compensation. 

Doctor Cleared Of Assaulting Practice Partner's Wife

A G.P. was cleared yesterday of assaulting the wife of his practice partner – who is also the surgery’s manager – who claimed she was pushed by the doctor during another disagreement.

The partnership at the Graham Road Surgery, Graham Road, Mitcham is an unhappy one, but the two doctors continue to practice under the same roof despite their differences.

Dr. Athar Rana, 56, of Circle Gardens, Merton Park was found not guilty at Wimbledon Magistrates Court of assaulting Savita Lall – wife of Dr. Raghunath Lall – at the surgery on October 17, last year.

The court heard Dr. Lall began the practice in 1999, was joined by his wife in 2002 and Dr. Rana came on board in 2004, but the union has not been a happy one.

Mrs Lall told the court: “Dr. Rana came into my room and asked why I had booked patients to him. He was a bit aggressive, a bit loud, there is a problem with Dr. Rana in the practice.

“I was frightened, I did not want to discuss it. It's always a problem with him, he got louder and I was more frightened.”

The discussion moved to the reception area, where Mrs Lall claimed the defendant made unwanted contact. “His hand was on my arm and he pushed me.

“I was shocked and hurt emotionally about what happened and he had done this before. I did not call the police the first time when he did it before and then called them after thirty minutes.”

Dr. Rana says the couple want him out of the surgery and he is deliberately overworked, insisting a complaint made by Dr. Lall to the General Medical Council, which was not proved, was “malicious.”

He claimed he raised his arm to usher himself past Mrs Lall and did not make contact with her.

Dr. Rana told the court the police came for him six days after the incident. “I was arrested in the middle of the surgery in front of my patients and staff.

“Dr. Lall has previously said I was sacked from my last job and had lied to him in my interview and I was not very happy about that.”

The pair have sat down with BMA mediators, but Dr. Rana complained: “Dr. Lall ignored that and he still signs cheques without my consent. Nothing has changed.

“Dr. Lall doesn't know what the word partnership means, but I have been subjected to this type of behaviour for ten years. I am use'd to it.

“I would classify Dr. Lall's behaviour as bullying. They want me to stop practicing and get out.”

ASBO Accountant Locked-Up For Continuing To Wage Parking War

An accountant involved in a bitter parking and access dispute, which he says claimed the life of his son and £200,000 in legal bills, was jailed for twelve months yesterday for breaching an ASBO, imposed to protect his long-suffering neighbours.

Roger Jocelyn Gloucester-Trotman, 75, of  Devon Road, Sutton and his late son Ian Trotman, who committed suicide aged 44, owned the service road behind a suburban parade of shops, where the defendant's accountancy business is based.

Planning permission was successfully won - despite local objections -  to build two three-storey townhouses at each end of the road and Gloucester-Trotman tried to stop neighbouring business owners using and parking there despite them having legal access rights.

Since February 2005 Gloucester-Trotman has clocked-up at least ten criminal convictions - mostly breaches of ASBOs and restraining orders - around his business premises in Westmead Road, Carshalton.

Today he was sentenced for breaching his Anti-Social Behaviour Order by continuing to complain to police about issues regarding his son's death, access and parking to the rear of his office.

A neighbour reported Ian Trotman to police for criminal damage after her boiler flue, which was adjacent to the second development site, was vandalised and he was arrested.

However, on May 28, 2010 his body was discovered in a drain located on the site and an inquest concluded he killed himself by carbon monoxide poisoning.

"He was driven to it by the police," said Gloucester-Trotman, after previously receiving a suspended prison sentence at the same court.

Gloucester-Trotman has also been struck-off by the Institute of Chartered Accountants and fined £1,000 for breaching an ASBO.

His battle with his business neighbours concerning parking and access in the road ended up at Guildford County Court, which ruled against Gloucester-Trotman, costing him £200,000 in legal bills.

During the dispute he dug up the access road on Boxing Day, preventing any vehicles gaining access and parking.

These incidents continue to occur from what Gloucester-Trotman sees as a lack of road traffic enforcement.

He was distracted from his accountancy practice to enforcement of road traffic regulations at his home address and at his office.

The five-year ASBO order was made to prohibit Gloucester-Trotman abusing his neighbours, calling 999 except in an emergency and calling police to complain about car parking and the death of his son.

Heartless Neighbour Fleeces Elderly 'Friend'

A heartless thief, who helped himself to over £32,000 from two bank accounts of a 90 year-old neighbour he was apparently helping has been locked-up for twelve months today.

Christopher Briggs, 57, of Nugent Road, South Norwood had control over the accounts as somebody trusted to look after the pensioner's financial affairs.

He pleaded guilty at Croydon Crown Court to stealing £21,396 between August 1, 2010 and December 10, 2013 from a Nat West account belonging to Kenneth Nash.

He also admitted stealing £11,000 between September 1, 2011 and December 1, 2013 from Mr. Nash's Santander account.

Briggs was also ordered to pay full compensation to the victim.

Police Hunt Pair Of Pizza Thugs

Police are hunting two late-night thugs caught on CCTV celebrating a joint attack on a man left with a fractured cheekbone and eye socket, who continues to receive treatment months later.

Camden Borough CID have released these images of the suspects taken near Dominos Pizza, Regent's Park Road, Chalk Farm at 3.30am on July 5, last year as they continue their attempts to bring them to justice.

The 27-year old victim was punched in the head and kicked in the ribs suffering a fractured right cheek bone, a fractured eye socket and broken ribs.

He is still receiving treatment for his injuries.

As they left the scene cameras recorded the pair congratulating each other and one demonstrating the blows he inflicted on the victim.

The first suspect man is described as a white man around 25-years-old, 5ft 7ins tall, with mid-length blonde hair and a distinctive jaw line and nose. He was wearing camel coloured trousers and a light coloured top.

The second man is described as a white man, around 25-years-old, 6ft 2ins tall with brown spiky hair, brown eyes, skinny build who was wearing a denim three-quarter length shirt and jeans.

The victim's 26-year-old female friend, who tried to intervene, was also scratched on the arm during the assault.

"Sexual Predator" Convicted Again: Police Seek More Victims

A repeat rapist, who targeted an 80 year-old pensioner, has been described by police as a: “sexual predator” after his second conviction for the offence.

Robert Lashley, 32, of Blythe Road, West Kensington waited for the woman, who lives alone, to return from a local newagents early one morning and followed her to her flat, where he raped her.

An Isleworth Crown Court jury found him guilty of the offence after hearing Lashley was caught on CCTV loitering outside the woman's Shepherd's Bush block of flats at 7.30am on August 16, last year.

He was quickly identified and arrested the next day and the victim was able to give evidence against him in court which led to a successful conviction.



The court also heard that Lashley had received an eight-year sentence in 2004 for a similar rape on a 59-year-old woman.



He was remanded in custody and will be sentenced on March 6. 



Officers believe Lashley may have targeted other women and are appealing for other possible victims to come forward.



Detective Constable Victoria Kilburn said: "Robert Lashley is a sexual predator who, on 16 August 2014, targeted one of the most vulnerable members of our community and subjected her to an horrific sexual assault.

“This was all the more distressing as the offence occurred in her home, where she should have felt safe. 



"I also hope that this sentence will encourage more victims of sexual offending to approach police, in the knowledge you will be believed no matter what age you are, and that the police will seek prosecutions for sexual offences.



"I would like to pay tribute to the victim of this offence. She is a spirited lady who showed great courage and determination, not only during the offence, but also in attending court and giving evidence against Lashley.

“She has found this experience extremely traumatic and I hope she can recover from this to enjoy her retirement in peace.



"Police are taking the step of releasing Lashley's image today. If you think you have been a victim of Robert Lashley, I would ask you to come forward and speak to police."

Immigration Civil Servant Looked-Up His Family's Cases

An assistant immigration officer with the Asylum Screening Unit has received a suspended prison sentence for illegally accessing computer information at work on immigrants he was sponsoring to enter the UK.

Anil Sanon, 64, of Davidson Road, Croydon was employed at the town's Lunar House building, the Home Office's UK HQ for visa and immigration applications.

He pleaded guilty to twenty counts of securing unauthorised access to a program or data held on a computer and was sentenced to five months imprisonment, suspended for twelve months.

Croydon Crown Court heard Sanon looked-up details of individuals on the Central Reference System, which revealed the progress of their immigration application, decisions and enquiries that still had to be made.

The Home Office have a 'zero tolerance' policy on such unauthorised access, but this did not stop Sanon searching for details of his son-in-law's case following an arranged marriage with his daughter in June, 2011.

Sanon, who is a carer for his disabled wife, was told he was guilty of a: “gross breach of trust.”

Probation Officer Wrecked Career Protecting Burglar Boyfriend

A brilliant probation officer's promising career has been destroyed after she fell in love with a prolific drug-addict burglar she was supervising, protecting him from police after another break-in and putting him up in her home. 

Criminal justice graduate Stacey Karen McCarthy, 31, of MacMillan Court, Ruislip Road East, Greenford has three degrees, including a Masters and was destined for the top of her profession, but is now starting a twelve-month prison sentence.

After she was jailed boyfriend Stephen Sullivan, 35, abused the investigating police officers in the public gallery, tried to head butt two of them and received six weeks imprisonment for contempt of court.

She pleaded guilty to assisting an offender between January 30 and February 23, last year, namely with intent to impede the prosecution of Stephen Sullivan she failed to notify the police of his mobile phone number and allowed him to stay at her home.

She also pleaded guilty to misconduct in public office between January 1 and February 23, last year, namely conducted an inappropriate relationship with Sullivan while employed as a supervising probation officer and provided him with a mobile phone.

Twelve Months: McCarthy

Prosecutor Mr. Lyall Thompson told Isleworth Crown Court yesterday McCarthy, who as employed by the London Probation Trust since April, 2008, was Sullivan's supervising officer after his release from prison on licence for a burglary conviction.

"He has a very lengthy conviction history and was a high-risk offender, who had completed five years on the prolific offender scheme."

Less than three weeks after his release on December 3, 2013 Sullivan broke in at 7.15am on December 28 to a firm that specialises in security alarms and after causing £400 worth of damage was identified by police on CCTV.

He was circulated as wanted on the Police National Computer and as his probation officer McCarthy was asked to assist in locating him.

On January 26, last year McCarthy activated a mobile phone and gave it to Sullivan.

"She deliberately withheld information to the police about the use of this phone and implied that it was being used by her and not Sullivan," explained Mr. Thompson.

"As a direct consequence police did not emily cell-site analysis and an opportunity to locate and arrest him was lost."

While McCarthy was holidaying in Egypt in February she allowed Sullivan to live in her house and her used her Fiat car.

"This car was used in a burglary in Hertfordshire on February 17 and two associates of Sullivan were arrested."

Sullivan then ransacked four offices in Canada House, Ruislip, causing a huge amount of damage and taking a laptop.

McCarthy was arrested when she returned from Egypt and was suspended by her bosses and Sullivan was eventually captured by police on April 14.

"When he appeared at Harrow Crown Court on the twentieth of May she talked her way into the cells to visit him, a visit she would not normally have had."

Sullivan later received two years probation with a drug rehabilitation requirement.

McCarthy was questioned by police on May 28. "She stated after her arrest she got sucked in by him and a sexual relationship began."

Mr. Matthew Rowcliffe defending said: "She's always, from a young age, had a desire to understand why others get involved in crime and to steer others away from crime."

Determined McCarthy beat "fierce competition" to land her dream job and drove through a new initiative called "Community Hub" and kept two "prolific offenders" out of trouble where colleagues had failed.

She supervised 'Prolific Priority Offenders' and knew it was against the rules to have inappropriate relationships with offenders.

"A relationship did develop despite the obvious impropriety and her actions were not carefully calculated, but were impulsive actions from a strong emotional attachment and the relationship continued."

The fact Sullivan has only failed one drug test while on probation was hailed as another success for McCarthy. "This reflects the genuine talent Miss McCarthy has to help others change.'

She was forced to resign her position. "She will never be able to return to that occupation, that vocation," added Mr. Rowcliffe.

"Given her ability and talents this case represents a grave loss to the probation service."

Judge Aidan Marron QC told her: "You are clearly a well-educated woman from a good home and with advantages like that this should not have happened."

Sullivan shouted at officers as they left court: "You're f***ing scumbags," and was asked to return by Judge Marron, who ordered his arrest.

"I'm heartbroken, I've lost my girlfriend. Don't ruin all the good work that's been done, this could put me over the edge," he told the judge before being handcuffed after a struggle and taken to the cells.

Crack addict Sullivan, who has a two-decade old habit and has spent fourteen of the last nineteen years in custody, was brought up and admitted contempt of court.

Judge Marron jailed him for six weeks, explaining: "My usual way of dealing with outbursts is to ignore them, but this I regard as being well over the top.

"A nasty explosion and I could see people in the public gallery were upset and you head butted two police officers."

There will be no further action against Sullivan and the judge added: "Consider yourself very fortunate indeed."

Pregnant Nigerian Overstayer's British Baby Bid

The truth behind a pregnant Nigerian visitor's plan for her new-born baby - delivered at NHS expense - to become a British citizen is no clearer after she and the imposter prospective parents were sentenced.

Oluwaseun Adenubi, 30, used the UK passport of her friend, 32 year-old Rita Ogunkunle, to obtain over £4,000 of free care and after the delivery the pal and her boyfriend Michael Adebambo, 46, registered the baby as theirs.

However, staff at Farnborough's Princess Royal University Hospital realised the medical records of the genuine Ogunkunle, who received acne treatment there, conflicted with the pregnant patient claiming to be her.

"The difficulty is getting an honest answer from all three as to what the ultimate aim was," announced Croydon Crown Court Recorder Andrew Wright. "Miss Ogunkunle's story is one I am struggling with."

Adenubi, of Fordcroft Road, Orpington, who was granted a family visit visa which allows her to stay in the UK for up to six months, pleaded guilty to fraud by false representation against the hospital between April 19 and July 2, last year, namely dishonestly obtaining free medical treatment.

Student social worker Ogunkunle and Adebambo, both of Clarendon Green, Orpington pleaded guilty to wilfully giving false information concerning the registration of a birth, namely reporting to be the parents of Moses Adenubi, at Bromley Civic Centre on July 1.

Adenubi was sentenced to eight months imprisonment, suspended for two years, by Recorder Wright, who said: "I suspend it because in particular there is no one to look after her child.

"There should be no more burden on the taxpayer than there already has been."

Bogus 'Parents': Rita Ogunkunle & Michael Adebambo

Both Ogunkunle and Adebambo received six months imprisonment, suspended for two years, and Recorder Wright added: "I don't fully understand why the three of you did what you did.

"All of you lose your good character  and that will make life more difficult, wether you are in the UK legitimately or seeking to remain.

"For you Miss Ogunkunle it has been a complete waste of your efforts to qualify as a social worker. It's mad and I don't understand it." 

The prosecution did not pursue a theory Adenubi was a paid surrogate, who was having a child for Ogunkunle.

Prosecutor Miss Alexandra Boshell told the court: "Maybe there was a motivation to secure the nationality of the child as a British citizen and free NHS treatment.

"After the baby was born on June the thirtieth the staff realised something was not right because Ogunkunle has severe scarring, which the baby's mother did not have and there were two different blood types for the same patient."

The next day, both Ogunkunle and Adebambo turned up at Bromley Civic Centre and registered the birth as the child's parents and obtained an NHS number for the baby.

Ogunkunle was arrested on August 8 and claimed Adenubi took her passport after moving into her spare room and she did not know her lodger was posing as her until she heard a hospital nurse call her 'Rita'.

"She admitted falsely registering the birth of the baby and said she had been introduced to Adenubi by a friend of her mother's and took pity on her because she was pregnant and had no friends.

"She told the police she was angry at Adenubi using her identity and tried to beat her to it by registering the child."

Ogunkunle's lawyer Miss Anna Hamilton-Shield said: "It was a stupid mistake, a silly thing to do. In a moment of madness she decided to go there and get the documentation herself."

Adebambo, who has permanent leave to remain in the UK, was questioned in November. "He said his girlfriend asked him to go to the registry office to register a birth and said she told him she did not want another woman to use her identity.

"He said he did it out of love for his girlfriend and was very remorseful."

Adenubi, who was seven months pregnant when she arrived in the UK was also questioned. "She claimed she was fleeing a violent partner in Nigeria and claimed to have no  family here and no contact with her family in Nigeria.

"She said she arrived with nowhere to go and met a Nigerian man at the airport and met others via a church, but had no details of those she stayed with.

"She claimed to have found Ogunkunle's passport on a bench in Orpington market and only used it to get free medical services."

Today Adenubi abandoned the claim she found the passport and Recorder Wright said: "All three of them have not been forthright, but we are where we are."

Adenubi was ordered to pay an £80 victim surcharge and the couple will have to pay £100 each.
