Second Intruder Now Caged For Heartless Killing

The killers of a terrified 83 year-old pensioner, who was left to die a slow and painful death on the floor of her North London home, have now both been caged.

Jewish spinster Eveline Kelmenson, (pic.top) of Leweston Place, Stamford Hill was bound, gagged and left for dead after her grandmother’s wedding ring was ripped from her finger and gold necklace and pendant ripped from her neck.

Polish-born Kuba Dlugosz, 33, (pic.middle) had already been convicted of manslaughter and burglary by an Old Bailey jury and received an indeterminate sentence – with a seven-year minimum.

The serial burglar – wanted on a European arrest warrant – also ransacked the large five-bedroom house, looking for more valuables.

The victim – known as Lina – who had lived in the house all her life struggled to free herself, but eventually died of hypothermia and lay undiscovered for five weeks.

Now the second intruder – 26 year-old Pole Szymon Wyrostek (pic.bottom) – has also been convicted after a retrial of manslaughter and robbery and sentenced to nine years imprisonment.

Dlugosz was trapped by DNA he left on a chisel handle during the break-in on November 27, 2008. Lena was not discovered until New Year’s Day, 2009.

Detective Chief Inspector Stewart Hill said: “Miss Kelmenson was a defenceless and vulnerable woman who had lived at the address in Stamford Hill her entire life.

“She must have been absolutely terrified the night Dlugosz entered her home and restrained her on the floor.

“As he left her property, carrying her valued possessions, he didn't spare one single thought for her welfare. She had no means to escape, could not raise the alarm and died a slow death on a freezing floor.

“My officers worked tirelessly on this case and conducted some of the most extensive and detailed searches I have ever seen.

“Over 4,000 items were removed from the property to be examined by our forensic specialists.

“The determination and tenacity of all those involved in the investigation has helped to secure the conviction of a ruthless and wicked individual.

“I can only hope that this result today brings some solace to Eveline's family.”

Pensioner Stabbing: Killer Caged For Life

A murderer who stabbed a pensioner to death in his West London home has been jailed for life – with a thirty-three minimum.

Ealing man Mohammed Khaleel, 38, (pictured) was convicted at the Old Bailey of murdering 67 year-old Michael Zubrot in Buckingham Avenue, Perivale.

The victim, a retired classical music retailer, was found on September 9, 2010 with stab wounds to his neck.

Relatives concerned for Mr. Zubrot’s wellbeing after not hearing from him for several days alerted police, who discovered the body.

The victim had not been seen or heard from since August 30 and he had been dead for many days.

There were no signs of a forced entry at the address.

CCTV captured in Ealing town centre showed Khaleel with Mr. Zubrot on August 30 and they both boarded a 297 bus to Perivale.

When quizzed by police Khaleel admitted he and Mr. Zubrot were “associates” and the deceased had previously offered him DVD’s for sale, which he refused to buy.

Khaleel was arrested the day after Mr. Zubrot’s body was found and charged with murder on September 12.

Top Cop Popped For Paedo Porn

A serving police officer – caught by his own force’s anti-child porn squad – has destroyed his promising career by downloading sick images of children.

Sergeant Darren Dearling, who served in the City of Westminster, was caught by the Metropolitan Police’s Child Abuse Investigation Unit.

He pleaded guilty at Isleworth Crown Court (pictured) to 12 counts of making indecent images of children and was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment, suspended for two years.

He was also ordered to sign the sex offenders register for seven years and made subject to a two-year supervision order.

As part of a pro-active operation officers raided Dearling’s home on March 22, last year when he was arrested and computer equipment seized.



On August 9 he was charged with the 12 counts of making indecent images of children and was bailed to appear at West London Magistrates’ Court on August 19.

Dearling has been suspended from duties since his arrest. 



Acting Detective Chief Inspector Noel McHugh said: “This sends a clear message, that the MPS are totally committed to identifying and prosecuting anyone who possesses or trades indecent images of children.

“Each image or movie represents a child who has been abused, and the MPS will continue to work tirelessly to bring anyone who is in any way involved in the abuse of children to justice.”


Commander Peter Spindler, of the Directorate of Professional Standards, said: “Criminal behaviour of this abhorrent nature by any of our employees will be dealt with swiftly and firmly.

“Now the judicial process has concluded, we will be convening a gross misconduct hearing against this officer, who is a discredit to himself and the service.”

Polish-Eqyptian Romance Ends In Killing

A killer boyfriend, who admitted the manslaughter of his Polish girlfriend, whose decomposing body was found in a North London bedsit, has been jailed for 10 years.

Egyptian-born Asaad Abdul-All, 32, pleaded guilty to killing Beata Slomiana, 33, at the address in Ballards Lane, Barnet in September, last year.

The Old Bailey heard her landlord discovered her body on September 8 and it was quickly concluded she had been dead for some time.

Decomposition made finding the cause of death impossible.

A post mortem examination at Finchley mortuary found the cause of death as inconclusive.

There were no signs of a forced entry into the address, but DNA and personal belonging identified Abdul-All, who was present at the time of Beata’s last confirmed sighting.

He was arrested and charged with murder, but his manslaughter plea on the ground of diminished responsibility was accepted by the prosecution.

On Yer Bike!

A cyclist, who was refused access to a night bus in the early hours of the morning, is being hunted by police after smashing a bottle on the driver’s window.

The suspect – of Oriental origin – was told by the driver of the N38 in Lower Clapton Road, Clapton, East London he could not board with his white mountain bike at 3:30am.

He became abusive and aggressive and stormed off the bus and smashed the bottle on the driver’s-side window before making off.

Officers from the joint Metropolitan Police Service and Transport for London Safer Transport Command Workplace Violence Unit are investigating the incident and appealing for witnesses.

The suspect was wearing a light coloured cap and dark jacket.

Officers have made enquiries to locate him and have released this image to the public in the hope he can be identified and located.

Weekend Dad Gets Life For Murdering Son And Daughter

A father facing eviction has been jailed for life after slashing the throats of his two children as they lay in their beds during a weekend visit.

Jean Francis Say, 62, (pic.bottom) of 33 Empire Square, Southwark will serve a minimum thirty years for the murders of Regina, 8, and her brother Rolls, 10, (pic.top).

Shortly after 8:00am on Sunday, February 13 Say called 999 and told police he had killed his children and then called his wife with the same devastating news, telling her to collect the bodies.

Minutes later police officers arrived to find the bodies of the two children in their beds - their throats had been cut and Rolls had also suffered a serious head injury.

Both children had clearly fought for their lives because of the evidence of defence wounds.

In 2008, Mrs Say and the children moved out of the family home and Jean was allowed custody of Rolls and Regina at the weekends.



At the time of the murders Say was facing eviction by the council from the property because as a sole occupier he was not entitled to such a large home.

Detective Inspector Paul Clack of the Child Abuse Command, said: “Say’s actions were cruel, brutal and abhorrent and the sentence he received reflects the gravity of what he has done.

“It cannot of course wipe away the terrible loss of these two young children.

“Nor can it in any way compensate for the unimaginable loss suffered by Regina and Rolls’ mother who has displayed great courage, dignity and strength throughout this ordeal.

“I would like to pay tribute to her and the close friends and family who have helped support her. I would also like to request on her behalf that her privacy is respected through this incredibly difficult period.”

Rolls and Regina Say’s mother said: “I have been asked to write a statement to allow others to understand how losing my two children Rolls and Regina has impacted on me.

“This request, I believe is an almost impossible task.

“How does a mother begin to find the words to explain the immense pain of losing two most precious children under the most horrific circumstances.



“My son Rolls and my daughter Regina were the most beautiful, thoughtful and fun loving children who brought so much joy into my life.

“To have them taken from me so cruelly by their father has left what I can only describe as a huge void in my life.

“Not one moment goes by that they are not in my thoughts.



“My home is now so empty and quiet.

“It should be filled with the sounds of Rolls and Regina laughing, singing, dancing and playing.

“Each time I leave the house there are so many little reminders of the children.

“I cannot walk past a McDonalds, a park or Church without memories flooding back to the children.

“I cannot shop in a supermarket without seeing the children run to their favourite isles, Rolls to the Belgium Chocolate and Regina to the Jammie Dodgers.

“Simple moments we shared of which so many of us take for granted, I will treasure them forever.



“Despite their tender years both children were very mature, sensitive and thoughtful.

“They encouraged me to move on with my life. “Go Mummy”.

“The children gave me the strength to move forward, to build a better life. I will never forget the children returning from school one day and explaining that we were BFF - Best Friends Forever.

“I never imagined that forever would amount to such a short space of time.



“Rolls was an entertainer, a born performer who was very creative often writing scripts for his friends to perform at school. He liked Beyonce.

“Regina was very protective and always looked for answers. She was a big fan of JLS. When I see or hear either on the television or radio it reminds me that they are no longer here.



“Rolls and Regina were taken away from me on 13 Feb 2011 by their father who was supposed to love them, look after them and nurture them so they could grow and reach their full potential.

“Since their passing I have had to endure the pain of being unable to celebrate Rolls 11th birthday on 16 June and Regina’s 9th birthday on 17 July.

“I have had to go through the pain of Mother’s Day without my children, the Easter holiday’s alone, and soon Christmas will be upon us.

“The joyous occasion of Christmas and the celebrations the children loved so much has been snatched so cruelly from my beautiful and innocent children.

“Christmas 2010 had been such a lovely time and is one of my most cherished memories of time spent with Rolls and Regina. Rushing out to buy a tree together and the fun we had decorating it.



“The only thing I have left is my memories and the little comfort I have knowing that Rolls and Regina are at peace and no longer able to feel the pain.

“Jean Say destroyed so much. Over the years he has taken from me all the photographs of the children from birth and even destroyed the video of their Christening.



“He cruelly ended their lives. He stole their childhood and snatched away their futures.

“Following their passing his actions prevented me from grieving, from being able to hold my babies and to comfort them at a time when they needed their mummy more than ever.



“Say has taken from me the most two precious things in my life, Rolls and Regina.

“I have very little physically to remember my children but the one thing he cannot take from me, in spite of his attempts are these wonderful memories which will live in my heart forever.”

Paedo Caged For Sick Collection

A paedophile, who catalogued over 16,500 sickening images and movies of children, which included the most indecent material possible, has been jailed for two years and eight months.

Delivery driver Roy Leslie Mountford, 57, (pictured) of Chatterton Road, Bromley, South-East London was also made subject to a ten-year Sex Offender Prevention Order.

He pleaded guilty to the charges of possessing and distributing indecent images of children after an investigation by the Metropolitan Police’s Child Abuse Investigation Command.

Mountford was arrested outside his home on June 1 and his home computer forensically analysed.

In the mid-90’s the defendant was jailed for a similar offence and indecently assaulting a boy aged under 14 years-old.

Detective Inspector Noel McHugh said: “Officers from the Met’s Paedophile Unit are conducting on and off line proactive operations daily, resulting in the arrest and prosecution of paedophiles like Mountford.

“The distribution of indecent images of children is not a victimless crime as each image or movie represents a child who has been abused, and the Met will continue to work tirelessly to bring anyone who is in anyway involved in the abuse of children to justice.”

Boxing Day Sales Murder: Eleven Arrested

Post-Christmas West End bargain-hunters were plunged into shocking Boxing Day gang violence, which saw a teenager fatally stabbed in a busy Oxford Street sports shop.

Seydou Diarrassouba, 18, (pictured) from Mitcham, South-West London died from a single stab wound to the heart inflicted inside Footlocker today at 1:45pm.

Ambulances and the Air Ambulance helicopter rushed to the scene, but Seydou was pronounced dead at the scene, near the junction with Stratford Place.

The Homicide and Serious Crime Command opened an incident room at Lewisham Police Station.

Detective Superintendent John Sweeney said: “Our sympathy goes to the family of the victim at this time and we are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

“We know there were a number of people filming the incident inside
Footlocker and may have captured the incident or its aftermath and we are appealing for these people to contact us.”

Eleven people – a sixteen year-old; three seventeen year-olds; five nineteen year-olds and two twenty-two year-old have been arrested.

Smoke On The Water

Police seized cocaine, cannabis and £1400 cash during a drugs raid on a Thames barge and two motor cruisers.

The Marine Policing Unit executed a search warrant (pictured) on December 5 in Teddington, West London and arrested a man in his late thirties on suspicion of possession, with intent to supply, drugs.

The officers found the male in possession of cocaine, herbal cannabis, drugs paraphernalia consistent with supply and over £1400 in cash.

Searches of the vessels revealed drugs hidden on two out of the three boats. 



The man has been bailed to return to a South West London police station on a date in early February 2012.

Sergeant Stuart Jenkins said:
”Officers within the MPU are specially trained to be able to carry out entries and searches of houseboats of this kind.

“Working in partnership with land based officers we caught a man suspected of dealing drugs from canal boat in around the Teddington and Kingston riverside area.



“The waterways are no soft spot for criminals and today’s arrest underlines our commitment to tackle suspected drug dealers wherever they are.”


Sergeant Phil Ure, from Petersham & Ham Safer Neighbourhoods Team, said:
”We work closely with our local community responding to their concerns. 



“The issue of drug dealing has been brought to our attention and this operation led by the MPU is in response to those concerns.



“Just because a premises is on the water doesn't mean we do not have the ways and means to deal with crimes which are believed to have been committed.



“The SN teams are able to call on the full range of resources within the MPS to assist in tackling the issues that are of concern to our local community.”

Wannabe Marine Gets Life For Torture-Killing

A failed Royal Marine who walked into a police station and confessed to killing and secretly burying his neighbour five years earlier and going on a three-month £50,000 spending spree with the victim's bank card was jailed for at least twenty-eight years yesterday.

Thomas Puxty, 31, (pic.bottom) told officers he killed 55 year-old father-of-three Lee Clement at a hostel in Burrage Road, Woolwich - using a pressure-point technique he learned in the army.

He then buried Mr. Clement (pic.top) in Partridge Wood, Brabourne, Kent, where he remained until a police search team and specially-trained sniffer dogs found and recovered the body.

A spokesman for the family said: "To imagine that anyone would ruthlessly exploit our father's vulnerability fills us with deep sadness.

"Our relationship with our father ebbed and flowed and to be denied any opportunity to let that relationship flow again is something that will never leave our family."

Kingston-upon-Thames Crown Court Judge Price, describing Puxty as a callous individual, sentenced him to life imprisonment for murder and recommended he serve at least twenty-eight years before he can be considered for parole.

Detective Inspector Chris Stanley, from the Homicide and Serious Crime Command, said: "We must not lose sight that the most important people in this case are the family of Mr Clement, who have had to sit through and listen to the sinister manner in which Puxty had acted in killing their father and uncle.

"The dignity and courage they have shown has been most humbling.

"As the investigation officer I would like to pay tribute to the professional manner the investigating team have conducted themselves throughout this case and also to praise counsel in the manner in which they presented the case."

Police believe the fact Mr. Clement's body was hog-tied with heavy-duty tape proves he was tortured by Puxty into revealing his PIN number.

Homeless Puxty was convicted by a jury after a two-week trial of murdering Mr. Clement between March 6 2006 and March 9, this year. He pleaded guilty to manslaughter and preventing his lawful and decent burial before the trial.

Former central heating engineer Mr. Clement endured a tragic life, with his brother, QPR and England right-back Dave Clement killing himself with weedkiller, aged 34, after a career-ending leg-break.

His mother took her own life when he was just seven and his first wife Barbara died during routine bowel surgery twenty years ago, resulting in the loss of custody of his children, which prompted a spiral into depression and heavy-drinking.

After a second failed marriage Mr. Clement received over £100,000 from the sale of the matrimonial home and spent all day drinking whiskey in the hostel, where Puxty was his basement neighbour.

"This mix of vulnerability and wealth made him an attractive target for anyone with designs on getting their hands on his money," prosecutor Mr. Jonathan Rees QC told the jury.

Mr. Clement was never officially reported missing after vanishing from the hostel in late April 2006 and nothing was heard of him until Puxty walked into Plumstead police station on March 11.

"The defendant said he wanted to confess to a murder," explained the prosecutor. "He claimed he had been asked to kill this person and the body was buried in a field in Kent.

"He said he killed him by applying pressure to a pressure point, something he learned in the armed forces.

"He said he killed the man after being offered ninety-three thousand pounds, which was being held in the victim's bank account and he had been given details of how to get the money out."

Between April and July 2006 multiple cash withdrawals were made from the account and the card was used to buy a watch, television, computer, jewellery, clothing, video games, petrol and alcohol and cigarettes.

"He said he told the victim he was going to kill him and the victim jumped up with a knife, which he took from him," added Mr. Rees.

"He said he killed him by applying pressure above the collar bone and cutting off the supply of blood to the brain."

When the body was recovered on March 10 it was obvious Mr. Clement had been hog-tied with tape, which had also been wrapped around his head.

The pathologist was unable to give an exact cause of death, but agreed it was "conceivable" Mr. Clement could have been killed by pressure to the neck or postural asphyxia.

Investigators discovered Puxty had quit the Royal Marines after five weeks of training while still a teenager, but he boasted to others he could kill with his bare hands and demonstrated the pressure-point technique to at least three women.

He claimed a bullet wound to the knee while serving in Kosovo ended his army career and he had performed a contract killing for Triad gangsters and buried the victim's body in woods.

"This defendant has an active imagination," said Mr. Rees. "He glorified and fabricated stories of great daring and do.

"The prosecution say he deliberately murdered Mr. Clement to gain access to his money and then buried his body."

Dad Caged For Beating 14-Month Old Son To Death

A father, who beat his 14 month-old son to death when left to care for the baby for less than half an hour, has been jailed for nine years.

Nathan Allen, 27, of Erith Crescent, Romford, Essex repeatedly punched defenceless Fletcher, inflicting deadly injuries to his abdomen.

The boy suffered two broken ribs, internal bleeding, kidney trauma and multiple bruising to his torso, neck and face.

Nathan pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of Fletcher who died at nearby Queens Hospital on January 6.

An Old Bailey jury found him not guilty of murder.

A post-mortem examination took place on January 8 at Great Ormond Street Hospital and gave the cause of death as blunt trauma injury to the abdomen.



The murder investigation was led by detectives from the Major Investigation Team at the Child Abuse Investigation Command.



Allen claimed he had left Fletcher for a moment in the bath and when he returned he was lying face down. 



However, the post-mortem examination showed no sign he had drowned or of any water in his airways and his injuries were most likely caused by a punch or kick.



Detective Inspector Colin Welsh said: “I strongly believe that Nathan Allen first seriously assaulted his son in the weeks leading up to this incident, when Fletcher suffered two broken ribs.



"On 6 January 2011, a second incident took place when Fletcher was in the sole care of his father for less than half an hour and the fatal injuries were inflicted.

“A vicious attack took place during which this defenceless 14-month-old baby suffered another fractured rib, trauma to both kidneys, internal bleeding and numerous bruises to his body, head and face, including what can only be described as a sadistic bite to Fletcher's face.

“He then failed to call an ambulance and get Fletcher the immediate medical help he so desperately needed.



“Allen then cynically invented a story to try to cover up what he had done, suggesting that Fletcher had fallen and drowned in the bath.

“He maintained this story until two days before he was due to stand trial.

“Faced with overwhelming evidence against him, at the last moment Allen admitted to assaulting Fletcher. I am pleased that today's sentence reflects the gravity of his actions.”
