A
knife-wielding teenager mugger, who held a blade to his victim's
throat while forcing the man to withdraw cash from an ATM, has been
locked-up for three years.
Deureece
Reid, 18, of Hoe Lane, Enfield demanded £250 cash – the maximum
allowed – from his 33 year-old victim.
He
was convicted of robbery in Queen Anne's Place, Bush Hill Park,
Enfield on December 12, last year after a two-day trial at Wood
Green Crown Court.
Investigating
officer, Detective Constable Rob Delaney, from Enfield’s Proactive
Crime Unit, said: “This was a terrifying attack, causing the victim
to fear for his life.
“This
sentence will take this attacker off of our streets for a number of
years.”
