A
bus ticket inspector was repeatedly punched in the face when he asked
a passenger for proof he had paid his fare.
These
CCTV images – taken on the double-decker – have been released in
the hope of identifying the suspect.
A
Transport for London Revenue Protection Inspector, aged 58 years-old,
was checking tickets in central London on Tuesday July 21.
He
was on board a route 148 bus at 12.30pm as it travelled around
Parliament Square when he approached a passenger to check his ticket.
He
was punched in the face several times, sustaining bruising and cuts
to the face, but he did not require hospital treatment.
The
suspect is described as a tall black man, with short black hair.
He
wore a light coloured t-shirt and shorts.
