Police
probing the death of a middle-aged Polish man in east London are
appealing for witnesses and information.
Janek
Brakonecki, 57, who lived in London was found dead on July 7 in a car
park off Leytonstone High Road, Leytonstone just before 8am.
A
post-mortem examination performed the next day was inconclusive.
A
man in his sixties was arrested on suspicion of murder and released
on bail, pending further enquiries.
Officers
are awaiting the outcome of further tests and detectives from the
Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating.
Detective
Chief Inspector Gary Holmes said: “We
are making urgent enquiries to establish the circumstance that led to
Mr. Brakonecki’s death.
“At
this time, we must keep an open mind as to the cause of death, and I
am appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to come
forward and speak with police.”
