Police
are hunting an alleged hit-and-run driver after a car mounted the
pavement and struck a 30 year-old man in north London.
Police
were called at 11.13am on June 10 to reports of two men fighting in
the street in Claremont Square, Islington.
Now
officers wish to question 21 year-old William Jayes in relation to the incident.
He is suspected
of running to nearby Penton Street, jumping into a black VW Golf, mounting the pavement and
running over the other unknown man.
The
victim left the scene prior to the arrival of the London Ambulance
Service and has not yet been traced.
Enquiries
are ongoing to locate him.
