A couple travelling between Nuneaton and Stanstead Airport at approximately 5.50pm on March 2 were subjected to racial abuse.
British Transport Police (BTP) are treating the incident as a racially-aggravated public order offence.
Investigating officers have released this image of their suspect.
They are appealing to members of the public to assist them identify the mystery male.
Anyone who recognises him, or has any other information, is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 431 of 02/03/25.
