An audacious thief persuaded the owner of a designer bag to place it on their train carriage's overhead rack before walking off with it at a later stop.
The male victim was carrying his Louis Vuitton Keepball bag and was onboard a service leaving London Euston at 5.53pm on Saturday, January 25.
Another passenger asked him to place the expensive bag on the overhead storage rack.
When the train pulled into Milton Keynes Central the mystery passenger departed the service, taking the bag with him.
Now British Transport Police (BTP) have released this CCTV image of their suspect.
Investigating officers are appealing to members of the public to assist identify him.
Officers believe the man in the image may have information that can help their investigation.
