British Transport Police (BTP) have released this image of their suspect.
They are appealing to members of the public to assist them identifying the unknown man.
BTP officers are treating the incident as sexual assault.
At approximately 10.00pm on Friday, December 5, last year a male approached a female on the platform and sexually assaulted her.
When the woman moved away from the man, he spat at her before boarding a train and leaving the station.
Detectives would like to speak to the man pictured as they believe he may have information which could help their investigation.
Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 791 of 5 December.
