Charity Finance Boss Denies Nicking £172K

The finance manager of a charity that helps vulnerable people pleaded not guilty today to swindling £171,933.21.

Rushna Choudhury, 45, of Singlewell Road, Gravesend, Kent was employed by north London’s Social Interest Group, which aims to improve the health and social care and improve the opportunities of individuals.

She appeared at Blackfriars Crown Court, which set a trial date of February 11, next year.

Choudhury is charged with one count of fraud by abuse of position between October 18, 2016 and August 17, last year at the charity’s HQ at 1 Waterloo Gardens, Milner Square, Islington.

Female Detective Sentenced For Throttling Policewoman Lover Over Salt Row

A judge today said it is “staggering” there are no domestic abuse programme options for women offenders when sentencing a policewoman who attacked her female detective lover.

Asweina Gutty, 34, herself a detective constable with the Metropolitan Police, throttled her ex because she added too much salt to a romantic meal she prepared.

She screamed at: “Are you for real? I’ve spent hours making f***ing dinner and you’ve put f***ing salt in it.”

She and her Detective Constable girlfriend then ate in silence until Gutty attacked her in the bedroom as she collected belongings to return home to her husband and children.

“I found it quite staggering when told by the Probation Service there were no programmes at all for women who perpetrate domestic violence, only programmes for men,” said District Judge Nina Tempia.

“I consider this to be a very serious case,” she told Gutty at Westminster Magistrates Court.

“Not only was there a hand around your partner’s neck, but it resulted in her hitting her head on the wall and there was verbal abuse in the flat and in her car.

“This is particularly serious because it is an offence in a domestic environment. You were intimate partners, you were in a relationship.

“She also says she was experiencing controlling behaviour from you before the incident occurred.

“A lot of people may have an exemplary record in their work life, but different things are happening behind closed doors,” added the judge. 

Gutty, of Elder Court, Saw Mill Way, Stoke Newington pleaded guilty to assaulting her ex at the address on May 27.

Both officers are attached to the borough of Tower Hamlets and met last September, while serving on Bethnal Green’s Community Safety Unit.

Gutty was made subject to a twelve-month community order, which includes 100 hours community service work and must pay £200 costs; £100 compensation to her ex and an £85 victim surcharge.

Prosecutor Mr. Edward Cohen told the court Gutty shouted: “Just walk away and do what you do best, go back to your nice house and f*** your husband,” as she prepared to escape the dinner row.

“The defendant then grabbed her around the throat and pushed her back, causing the victim to bang her head against the wall.

“She tried to grab the defendant’s wrist and pull it away and was in a state of shock and her head banged against the wall for a second time.”

Mr. Cohen explained: “Both the defendant and the complainant are females in a same-sex relationship. The victim is married with children and living partly with her family.

“They met at work, where they are both serving police officers and the complainant came to Ms Gutty’s flat on the day of the assault.

“They had an argument because the complainant put some salt in her dinner.

“The atmosphere soured and they ate in silence and the complainant went into the bedroom to get her things.”

The court heard this angered Gutty, who shouted: “That’s it. Run away like you always do. You’re a coward.”

She told Gutty her behaviour was “not acceptable” and left with her keys in her hand.

“The defendant kept trying to pull the keyring from her hand and they had a struggle over the keys,” added Mr. Cohen.

“As she walked to the car park the complainant looked back and saw the defendant following her.

“The defendant said: ‘If you try and do me over I’ll come and find you.’

“Ten minutes later she started bombarding the complainant with texts, phone calls and WhatsApp messages.”

She reported Gutty to the police and made a statement. “She said during the relationship the defendant was very volatile and would go off over trivial things.”

Afterwards the victim said: “I cannot tell you how difficult this is. It is breaking my heart, but Asweina needs to know how much she hurt me.

“We had an extreme connection, we became inseparable, being with her was amazing. I loved her so much.

“When my family found out I lost them, but if being with Asweina meant losing my family then so be it.

“We were going to live together, have a family, have adventures, travel and live life to the full.

“I look at our photographs together and they remind me of great times, but there is a dark shadow.

“Asweina screamed at me because I couldn’t put stuff in a bag at the supermarket and because I left a used tissue near the bed.

“She did not want me to see my friends because of her jealousy.

“Her reactions were like a volcano, shouting at me and I’d apologise just to keep her calm.

“There were also insults like: ‘Whore, slag’ and: ‘You white people.’

“Asweina became angry because I put salt in the dinner, like I was a small child that had done something dangerous. I felt belittled.

“She followed this with anger and a rage in her eyes. Asweina became someone else and I feared for my safety.

“I saw then that this surely could not be love.

“Asweina destroyed us and our future and everything that we had fought so hard for.

“She made me feel weak, embarrassed and ashamed.

“I never in a million years expected to be the victim of domestic abuse. I always thought it was something that happened to other people, not people like me.

“I’ve been on an emotional rollercoaster, taken to black places and feel hollow inside. 

“I am grieving the loss of Asweina and feel lost without her. It breaks my heart that we are where we are now.”

“I loved her so much, but the monster within her is more dominant than the loving woman I fell in love with.”

Gutty’s lawyer Mr. Edmund Gritt told the court her behaviour is the result of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder after being exposed to disturbing incidents in her police work.

“In the course of work training in March, last year something triggered a deterioration in her mental health. She started suffering anxiety and memory loss.”

Gutty dumped her partner of three years and started seeing Ms Etheridge. 

“At the time of this offence and subsequently Ms Gutty herself was vulnerable in her personal history and diagnosis of complex PTSD.

“She was unwell for the duration of the relationship,” added the lawyer, revealing Gutty will begin an eight-week Group Trauma Therapy Programme later this month.

  

“She has also taken many sessions of private psychotherapy counselling and she apologises for what she has done.

“It was an offence committed in a matter of seconds and she came to her senses and let the complainant go.

“It was not a choke hold or a strangle hold. It was an attempt to stop her leaving and the bump on the head was unintentional.

“Although her occupation may be seen as an aggravating feature here the offence was committed in her private life, but professional disciplinary proceedings will follow to determine the question of her future.” 

Gutty is currently on restricted part-time duties with the Met.

District Tempia added: “The controlling behaviour was a feature of the relationship, stopping the complainant seeing her friends.

“What concerns me is she is a serving police officer prone to anger outbursts and she is dealing with members of the public.”

NHS Money Man Nicked Almost £50K From Dementia Mum

An NHS finance manager who nicked nearly £50,000 from from his dementia-suffering mother claims his ex is blocking compensation by refusing to sell their marital home.

Peter John-Baptiste, 54, insists former wife Margaret Sulmanis, 52, the mother of their two daughters, would rather see him in prison or dead so she can inherit the Harrow property.

Today at Isleworth Crown Court he received eighteen months imprisonment, suspended for two years and must obey an electronically-tagged night time curfew for three months.

However, John-Baptiste, who suffered a stroke earlier this year, was warned if he does not comply with Proceeds of Crime Act proceedings he faces being locked-up.

He pleaded guilty to stealing £48,332.25 from Muriel John-Baptiste, 74, between December 1, 2015 and September 14, 2016, while caring for her at her Trellick Tower flat in Golborne Road, North Kensington.

“You pleaded guilty to a disgraceful offence of theft. You stole a large amount from her and it was a mean, selfish offence,” Judge Robin Johnson told him.

“You say it was because you were drinking and taking drugs. The public and I am appalled.

“Even though I am passing a suspended sentence does not mean you will not go to prison if you don’t pay the money. This was a mean, nasty offence.”

John-Baptiste’s marital home in Dudley Gardens is currently on the market for £480,000, but he claims his wife, who works for City property lawyers, has successfully blocked three sales.

“The court has to determine if he has been thwarted by a lady who continues to live in the house and prevent sales to other parties,” said Mr. Tim Devlin, defending.

“She said frankly she does not care if he went to prison and if he made a fuss he would have another stroke and a heart attack and die and she would inherit it.

“She has received an inheritance and has another property and intends to rent this property once Mr. John-Baptiste goes to prison. 

“He’d like to repay the money and the house has had three offers on it, but his ex-wife has refused to accept any offers and has come here today to see Mr. John-Baptiste go to prison.”

Ms Sulmanis told the court she will received 53.75% of any sale profits, explaining: “It has to be a decent offer.

“I still need to find a property for our two girls. I’m not going to accept anything.”

They have a 21 year-old daughter at university and a 16 year-old.

She denied telling her ex she would inherit the house if he had another stroke and died.

The theft was exposed when John-Baptiste’s sister noticed money was missing from their mother’s bank account and the defendant admitted he had taken the sums.

“His mother was suffering from dementia and Alzheimer’s while he looked after her and he was in a bad state, getting divorced from your partner of twenty years,” said Mr. Devlin.

“He was abusing alcohol and crack. It was a shocking thing to do to his mother and all he can say if he was not his normal self.”  

Bus Stop Flasher Caged

A prolific flasher, who exposed himself to five women at a favourite bus stop, has been locked-up.

Mark Nevin, 39, from Barnet was sentenced at Harrow Crown Court for six counts of indecent exposure relating to five victims.

He also admitted breaching a sexual harm prevention order and pleaded guilty to engaging in sexual activity with a child.

Nevin received a total of four years and seven months imprisonment.

Nevin would drive to a particular bus stop on Watford Way at its junction with Westside in Hendon, where he would park up and loiter at the stop waiting for lone females.

When one arrived he would get their attention by either coughing or calling out to them and upon the victim turning around he would expose himself before walking away.

Between October 2017 and February 2018, five women came forward to report six separate incidents – one being targeted by Nevin on two occasions.

One of the victims saw Nevin get into his vehicle and was able to make a note of the registration number, which she passed to police.

On February 13 Nevin was arrested at his home address.

In interview he admitted to committing the offence on at least 10 occasions.

Investigating officer, PC Jay Thorn, from the Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command, said: “The way Nevin carried out his offences was extremely calculated and disturbing.

“In his pursuit for sexual gratification he has now left some of his victims too anxious to walk alone at night.

“I hope the sentence will give them some sort of comfort and closure; and would appeal for any further victims to contact police on 020 7232 7444 or 101.

Hugo Lloris Accused Of Being Double Drink-Drive Limit

Tottenham FC’s goalkeeper Hugo Lloris was allegedly over twice the drink-drive limit when police stopped him driving his new £65,000 Porsche in the West End.

The 31 year-old French international, who lifted this summer’s World Cup trophy, is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates Court on September 12.

He is charged that on August 24 he drove the powerful dark grey 4-litre Panamera sports car in Gloucester Place, Marylebone with 80 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

The legal limit is 35.

Lloris gave police his home address, a large £5.9m property called in Winnington Road, East Finchley, north London.

The road runs parallel to The Bishops Avenue aka ‘Billionaire’s Row’ and is one of the capital’s most exclusive neighbourhoods.

Lloris was stopped by police at 2.10am by officers carrying out a routine stop and charged late the same day.

He was originally bailed to appear in court on September 11, but this has been put-back 24 hours at the request of his solicitors.

Clapham Muggers Snatch Woman's Watch: CCTV Released

Police continue to hunt two cowardly robbers, who snatched a watch from a woman walking with three children and her dog in Clapham.

Police were called at 5.18pm on Tuesday, July 10 to reports of a robbery in Abbeville Road.

The 42-year-old female victim was crossing the road to Caldervale Road with her two young children, a friend's child and the family dog when she was approached by two men from behind.

One of the men grabbed her arm and forced her watch from her wrist.

The victim did not require medical treatment, but was left with injuries to her arm.

The suspects left the scene by running in the direction of Cavendish Road.

The suspects are both described as black males, about 6ft tall, aged 25 to 30 years-old.

Both wore black/dark clothing with their hoods up.

Detectives have released CCTV footage of two men they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

The CCTV shows two men walking along Abbeville Road shortly before the incident, and then running back along the road moments later.

Detective Constable Sam Smith of Lambeth CID, said: "This was a terrifying ordeal for the victim who not only feared for her own safety but also the safety of the young children with her.

“The suspects targeted the victim in broad daylight and used force even when the victim willingly offered to hand over the watch.

"We are committed to catching those responsible for this heinous crime and I'd urge anyone who recognises the men in the CCTV to contact us as a matter of urgency.

“I'd also appeal to any witnesses who have not yet spoken to us to do so.

“Any information, no matter how small or insignificant you think it is, will assist us in bringing these criminals to justice."

Bus Pervert Wanted For Exposing Himself: CCTV Released

Detectives are appealing for information after a man exposed himself to lone women travelling on buses in the Whitechapel area of Tower Hamlets.

The incidents occurred on two separate occasions.

At around 1.25pm on Thursday, March 15, the 21-year-old victim was sitting on the upper deck of a Route 135 bus travelling from Old Street Station towards Westferry Station.

A man boarded the bus on Commercial Road and also took a seat on the upper deck.

He tried to engage the victim in conversation before exposing himself to her.

The victim moved away and the suspect got off the bus near Westferry DLR station.

The second incident occurred at around 8.00am on Wednesday, March 28 whilst a 23-year-old woman was sitting on a Route 205 bus travelling from Paddington Station towards Bow Church Station.

Both the victim and suspect were on the upper deck of the bus towards the back.

The suspect approached the victim and exposed himself to her.

The suspect is described as an Indian man aged in his thirties, with a dark beard and moustache.

Detective Constable Jo O’Connor, of the Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command, said: “Both women were understandably very shocked by these incidents and no one should be subjected to this.

“If anyone has any information that could help us identify this man then please get in touch.”

East London Gunman Hunt: CCTV Image Released

Police are hunting a gunman, who sent a group of men running for their lives when pointing a firearm at them from the window of a car in east London.

At around 9.00pm on May 30, a black Ford Focus carrying several occupants was driven into Wellington Road, Newham at the junction with Waterloo Road.

The vehicle stopped in the middle of the road and a male, described as black and aged in his twenties, wearing a silver/grey hooded top and a black jacket, was seen to brandish a firearm at a group of males from the window of the vehicle.

The group fled, as well as a number of witnesses who saw the incident.

The vehicle is believed to have made off in the direction Cemetery Road.

It is believed it was then driven on to Odessa Road, left into Dean Street and right Field Road, and then onto Forest Lane.

It is unknown as to where the vehicle went from there.

There were no reported injuries and no shots were fired.

Police are interested in hearing from any of the males who fled, as well as a female who saw the incident with her child and ran away.

Detective Sergeant John Macleod of Newham CID is investigating.

He said: "This would have been a terrifying incident for all those involved.

“Anyone who has information can be assured that they can contact us in the strictest of confidence. Please speak to us so we can catch those responsible."

Petrol Station Knifepoint Raid: CCTV Image Released

Police are hunting this suspected robber after a petrol station was held up by a knife-wielding gang.

The Waitrose station in Bayswater, Paddington was raided at around 8.26am on February 26.

On the day of the attack, three men entered the store after placing bollards across the forecourt, to create the illusion it was closed.

They then entered the Waitrose in a staggered formation with two men entering together and the third suspect coming in just behind the first two.

The third suspect, who is wearing a black motorbike helmet, approaches the member of staff and asks him to: "Come here."

He then produced a black handled kitchen knife and ushers the member of staff towards the office door. The other two suspects followed.

At the office door, one of the suspects tells the victim to open it before threatening him.

Once in the office, the victim opens the safe and two of the suspects remove the money.

The third suspect attempts to destroy the CCTV equipment.

The suspects then left through the fire exit walk make off in the direction of Porchester Terrace.

All of the suspects are believed to be aged between 19-21 years old.

One suspect, wearing a black coat is a white male; the other two suspects are black males.

One is wearing a black hoodie and black bike helmet. The other black male is wearing a dark blue coat.

Man Attacked In East London Street: CCTV Image Released

Police are hunting this suspected thug after a middle-aged bank customer suffered a broken jaw after being struck from behind in east London.

Police were called to Chingford Mount Road, Chingford at 4.55pm on Wednesday, October 25, last year after the 53 year-old victim was attacked.

In the lead up to the attack the victim went to Barclays Bank accompanied by two companions, intending to withdraw cash.

The bank was closed, but the victim could see a customer inside the branch.

A short while later the customer inside the branch was guided out of the bank by a member of staff.

The victim and his companions began walking along Chingford Mount Road away from the bank when the victim felt a blow to the side of his head and fell to the floor.

The suspect, the man they had seen earlier inside the bank, made off on foot towards New Road.

The suspect is described as a black man, with short dark hair and wearing white trainers, a dark coloured t-shirt and blue tracksuit bottoms.

The victim was taken to an east London hospital with a fractured jaw.

He has since been discharged from hospital.

Detective Constable Noble Adu Agyapong from Waltham Forest CID said: “Eight months has passed since this violent and unprovoked attack and I am committed to finding the person responsible.

“A number of lines of enquiry have been followed up during the investigation and I am now appealing to anyone with information about the attack or the whereabouts of the man in the CCTV to get in touch.”

Criminology Graduate Denies Tiger Tiger Dancefloor Assault

A criminology graduate, accused of attacking another young woman at a well-known West End nightclub, appeared in court for the first time today.

Amelia Bowles, 21, who studied at Cardiff University, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The Essex native, of Rhymney Street, Cathays, will stand trial at City of London Magistrates Court on October 11.

She is charged with assaulting Samona D’Agostino on August 16 at Tiger Tiger, Haymarket.

Prosecutor Mr. Simon Maughan told Westminster Magistrates Court: “The incident was at Tiger Tiger.

“The complainant was there and the defendant was there in the early hours and the police were called to attend an incident.

“There is an alleged assault on the other female. 

“It was the complainant that said she was on the dance floor in front of the deejay’s booth dancing with friends and the defendant came over and asked if she was this individual.

“She grabbed her hair, pulling it and kneed her in the stomach.

“The defendant then tried to run out and was detained by security.

“The complainant says she recognised Ms Bowles as her ex-partner’s girlfriend.”

When questioned by police Bowles claimed: “She pulled my hair first and I acted in self-defence.”

She was bailed on condition she does not contact Ms D’Agostino or go to Tiger Tiger.

Late-Night Axe Burglary: CCTV Of Suspect Released

Police hunting an axe-wielding burglar, who smashed his way into a lone woman's east London flat, have released this image of their suspect.

The CCTV image was captured when the woman's stolen bank cards were used.

The victim, aged in her thirties, was asleep when an intruder smashed through a window in High Road, Leyton at 10.50pm on June 22.

The burglar, who was armed with an axe, entered the victim's bedroom and demanded that she hand over her mobile phone, bank cards and other valuables.

He then left the scene via the window he entered through.

Officers were called five minutes later and carried out a search of the property and surrounding area.

On Monday, June 25, the victim contacted officers and told them that her contactless cards had been used in a local fast food restaurant, a supermarket and to enter a tube station.

Officers attended these locations and retrieved the CCTV.

Both CCTV from the supermarket and fast food restaurant showed the suspect at the times the victim's cards were used.

He is described as a light skinned black male of slim to medium build.

He was wearing a light coloured rucksack over a grey, plain polo shirt and grey jeans.

He had a dark short cropped goatee style beard and dark cropped hair.

The male had on thick dark rimmed glasses with a pair of sunglasses on top of his head.

Detective Constable Mark Crouchman, from Waltham Forest CID, said: "We have an excellent CCTV still of the man we want to speak to in connection with this aggravated burglary.

"Someone out there will definitely know his name; where he may work or where he lives - if you do, please contact us immediately."

Polish East London Death: Investigation Continues

Police probing the death of a middle-aged Polish man in east London are appealing for witnesses and information.

Janek Brakonecki, 57, who lived in London was found dead on July 7 in a car park off Leytonstone High Road, Leytonstone just before 8am.

A post-mortem examination performed the next day was inconclusive.

A man in his sixties was arrested on suspicion of murder and released on bail, pending further enquiries.

Officers are awaiting the outcome of further tests and detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating.

Detective Chief Inspector Gary Holmes said: “We are making urgent enquiries to establish the circumstance that led to Mr. Brakonecki’s death.

“At this time, we must keep an open mind as to the cause of death, and I am appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward and speak with police.”

Notting Hill Carnival Punch-Up: Two Women In Dock

Two women at last year’s Notting Hill Carnival were part of an aggressive group, who surrounded and repeatedly kicked another female, a court heard.

Trouble began when Laura Sweeney, 33, began filming the complainant’s drunken young friend and laughing at her, Isleworth Crown Court was told.

Both Sweeney, of Daryngton Drive, Greenford and Gemma Freeman, 32, of Lincoln House, Ealing Road, Brentford have pleaded not guilty to assaulting Anne-Sophie Flury, causing her actual bodily harm, on August 27, last year.

Sweeney also denies causing actual bodily harm to Ella Williams and Freeman has pleaded not guilty to assaulting Shanice Steele.

“Ms Flury held her hands up in a defensive gesture and the female we say is Sweeney punched her a number of times in the face and neck, causing her to fall to the floor,” said prosecutor Mr. John Coates.

“She then grabbed her by the hair and kicked her in the face.”

The attack was witnessed by one of the victim’s friend’s, who says Freeman was also involved in the group attack.

“She saw the group surround Ms Flury and the group were all kicking and says the mixed-race girl, who we say is Freeman, was the main one beating her up,” added Mr. Coates.

It was around 6pm when when one of Ms Flury’s group of friends disappeared. “Because she was intoxicated through either drink or drugs she ran off.

“She was found collapsed and being sick and a woman was nearby filming and laughing at her and words were exchanged with Ella Williams.

“We say this woman is Sweeney and others joined in the exchange of words and Ella felt this other group were acting aggressively.”

Police intervened and led Ms Flury’s group across Ladbroke Grove.

However, an hour later there was another clash, the jury were told. “Sweeney approached Ella while shouting aggressively and punched her more than once in the face with her fist.

“This caused her to fall backwards, hitting her head on railings and she momentarily lost consciousness.

“She received a cut and bruising to her left eyebrow, had soreness to her nose and tenderness to the back of her head.”

It was while helping wipe blood away from her friend’s face Ms Flury was attacked, said Mr. Coates.

“She suffered a displaced nose, swelling to her nose, had bruising to her face and neck, an injury to her left eye and a cut lip.

“Her friend Shanice Steele was punched in the face and says that woman was also the main aggressor in the assault on Ms Flury.

“The prosecution say that was Freeman.”

Sweeney was arrested at the scene and both defendants were taken in for questioning on October 12.

The court heard pictures on their phones of them enjoying carnival match the descriptions given by the complainants.

Jail For Kid's Centre Voyeur

The boss of a well-known kid’s soft play centre was jailed for fourteen months today after filming two 14 year-old girls undressing and also recording female toilet users at his family-friendly business. 

Darren Johnson, 51, resigned in disgrace from Eddie Catz after his double life was exposed when caught filming the schoolgirls changing in a swimming pool cubicle.

He was sentenced at Kingston-upon-Thames Crown Court, where yesterday Judge Andrew Campbell had bailed him for twenty-four hours.

Johnson was also made subject to a ten-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

He founded the nationwide play centre, which has a tie-in with Mothercare, with his wife Maria over a decade ago and the couple share a £1.3m home.

Police raided the house and seized nearly 700 clips, mostly made up of recording his Earlsfield centre’s female staff in their changing room and toilets.

Johnson, of 26 Rodway Road, Putney Village pleaded guilty to five counts of voyeurism for sexual gratification between January 1, 2005 and June 12, 2017.

Detective Constable Nayeff Al-Wareeth of the Metropolitan Police’s South West Command said afterwards: “I hope this sentencing result brings some measure of comfort for the two young girls who bravely came forward and reported Johnson to us.

“This conviction would not have been possible without their courage. We will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that criminals like Johnson are off our streets and behind bars.” 

His double-life was exposed when the teenage girls spotted Johnson filming them with his iPhone under the cubicle divider at Putney Leisure Centre on June 5, last year.

A previous court heard was told the girls were “very distressed” and police raided dad-of-two Johnson’s home on June 12.

Officers seized his computers, where they found images of women undressing during years of secret filming at Eddie Catz centre in Earlsfield.

Prosecutor Miss Lauren Sales told the court yesterday: “There is CCTV that shows the defendant stalking children around the leisure centre. He stalks them to the shower area and then stalks them to the cubicle next to him.

“There was a twelve year-old he was following as well. It is all clear on the CCTV.”

Johnson says he rowed with his wife that morning and had consumed a bottle of wine before arriving at the centre.

“On that occasion the two fourteen year-old girls had attended their school swimming class. 

“Mr. Johnson is seen on CCTV walking around the changing facility. He has gone to the swimming pool and walked around the centre with no particular purpose.

“It’s the two fourteen year-old girls he follows and he purposefully enters the cubicle next to them.”

While undressing the girls see Johnson’s iPhone 6 filming them under the cubicle partition. 

They did not see Johnson, but spotted his distinctive rucksack in the cubicle, which was later picked up on the leisure centre’s CCTV.

He did not keep recordings of the girls and still insists he was not stalking youngsters, but was evasive with police when quizzed about the leisure centre.

“He said he attended in order to shower because it was close to his work and then said he had a personal trainer and then said he’d never shower there because they were communal and dirty and then said he could not remember what he was doing and had memory problems,” added Miss Sales.

When police inspected his two password-protected laptops they found naked images of approximately 40 adult woman changing at the leisure centre, spread over 155 computer files.

“Adult females were in various states of undress at Putney Leisure Centre and they were taken under cubicles,” explained Miss Sales. “They were the most indecent, showing female genitalia and naked breasts.”

At his Earlsfield play centre Johnson had strategically hanged bags in three toilets and the female staff changing rooms, having already made a tiny hole in them to allow filming.

He used a motion-sensor camera to capture the images.

“Images using peepholes in different female public lavatories at the children’s soft play centre, showing female genitalia. They show women using the lavatory.”

The centres’ three public toilets, Pink, Green and White all featured in the recordings as well as the female staff changing room.

“Female employees using private changing rooms at the children’s play centre and they are in various states of undress.

“That is around 376 files, though some are duplicates.

“There are a huge number of images and these images have been cherry-picked out of many images because they are the most graphic.” 

Johnson’s lawyer Mr. Tom Williams said his client was married with children aged 18 and 20 years-old and of good character and receiving counselling from a psychosexual therapist.

“When arrested he immediately resigned and has not stepped foot in Eddie Catz since.”

Johnson claims the filming was restricted to a short period in 2007 and between 2016 and last year. 

He now also attends AA, plus Sex Addicts Anonymous, couples counselling and receives cognitive behaviour therapy and been told he has ADHD.
