An alleged rogue trader, accused
of ripping-off an 83 year-old customer in a £9,350 scam, pleaded not
guilty to fraud when he appeared at Croydon Crown Court last Friday.Jason Jones, 42, of Worcester Road, Titton, Stourport-on-Severn, Worcestershire is said to have taken advantage of the south London man, who is described as “very trusting and very friendly.”
Jones was bailed to return for the trial on December 9.
He pleaded not guilty to five counts of fraud involving charges for work on the roof, guttering, patio, walkways and driveway of 16 Ryefield Road, Upper Norwood on dates between August 24, 2012 and February 21, this year.
He also denied engaging in aggressive commercial trading that involved harassment, coercion and influence.
