Fare-Dodger Wanted For Spitting

A fare-dodger, who climbed a railway station fence spat in the face of a member of rail staff as he was escorted out.

British Transport Police have released this CCTV image of the unknown suspect and are appealing for the assistance of the public in identifying him.

At 3.30pm on September 30 a man climbed over a fence at Sittingbourne station and onto the platform to avoid the automatic ticket barriers.

Rail staff approached the man and escorted him out of the station. 

As he passed through the booking hall he turned and spat at one of the staff members before leaving the station.

Officers believe the man in the CCTV image may have information which could help their investigation.
