Police
are hunting this cheeky sneak-thief, who calmly walked behind a shop
counter and helped himself to a £180 laser hand tool.
On
Friday, June 10 police were called at around 8.35pm to a report of a
burglary at Screwfix, Tooting High Street, Tooting.
The
burglary took place on the same day at some point between 7.35pm and
7.45pm.
CCTV
from within the shop caught the moment the suspect walked into the
shop and went behind the counter, where he grabbed the tool and then
left the store.
The
suspect is described as a white male, in his late forties of medium
build, 5ft 10ins tall with receding short dark hair and a short dark
goatee beard.
He
was wearing black trainers, black trousers and a grey and white
hooded Adidas top.
He
was carrying a black bag over his right shoulder.
Police
are keen to hear from anyone who may recognise the man shown on CCTV
or may have witnessed the incident.
